    Test Dates

      Below is a list of tests required by professional schools. Check the internet for exact dates for each test. Give yourself at least two months lead time for registration (6 months for the MCAT) to ensure that you get both the time and place of your choice. Registration materials are available on the internet.

    • The Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) – Given about 22 times per year. Check for times here under MCAT. It is suggested that you schedule a time for the test 6 months ahead of the time.
    • The Dental Aptitude Test (DAT) is given throughout the year at computer-based centers. Check here for more information.
    • The Optometry Aptitude Test (OAT) is given year round at computer-based centers. Check here for more information.
    • The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is given year round at computer-based test centers. Check here for more information.
    • The Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) is given in June, August, October and January. For information, go here and then to ‘for students and applicants.’
    • Veterinary schools use the GRE as their admission test.
